By doing a complete and thorough job of planning, we are able to identify potential critical path conflicts that can give even the most seasoned general contractor a migraine.
Many times, the plans and specs provided by the architect are not complete, contain errors, or are drawn up with design problems. That’s alright, because at Ferguson & Melvin Co., we are experienced in spotting those problems, pointing them out, and offering a correction before it becomes an issue.
We offer full design-build capabilities for complex roof installations, such as tapered insulation systems on concrete decks. These modern designs meet Title 24 requirements, factory-mutual wind uplift, and UL fire ratings to comply with plans and specs, while keeping city inspectors smiling all the way back to the truck.
Safety is paramount – this is why our of our installers are trained in OSHA regulations and safety procedures. We do regular safety trainings and weekly tailgate meetings to discuss issues and train employees on the best way to avoid accidents and stay in compliance with OSHA. Each foreman keeps our OSHA approved Injury and Illness Prevention Program onsite and available for inspection.
